This guy looks scary but he’s actually too friendly. He was a “bottle baby” and still tries to hang too close, though we continue to work on a “horn width + two feet” boundary!

Chilling milk.

Pygoras are respectable milkers. Ater weaning kids we milk just once/day for ~1 week, getting 2-3 cups of milk from each doe. Higher milk demand = lower fleece yield, so our season for fresh goat cheese is short, but sweet!
